Hammond 1447SK10 48x37-3/8x10 In Type 12 Wallmount Disconnect Enclosure

The 1447SK10 is a Type 12 mild steel wallmount disconnect enclosure with a continuous hinge door and a multi-vendor flange cutout. It is designed to house flange-mounted safety disconnect equipment, giving electricians, panel builders and OEM engineers a ready-cut enclosure for disconnect switch and circuit breaker operating mechanisms from several major manufacturers.

Construction is formed 14-gauge steel with continuously welded seams, welded mounting brackets and a formed lip on the door and enclosure to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, sealed by a seamless poured-in-place gasket. Latch pivots and cover interlock brackets are welded to the door, cover latch bars for door handles are provided, and cutouts suit the handle, operating mechanism and door closing mechanism. The cover and enclosure are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coat inside and out; the removable 12-gauge inner panel is white powder coat.

Enclosure dimensions are 48.00 in H x 37.38 in W x 10.00 in D (1219 x 949 x 254 mm), with a 45.00 x 33.00 in inner panel mounted on collar studs. The drawing shows a 33.29 x 45.25 in door opening and 9.70 in of usable depth. The 1447SK10 gives the 48 x 37-3/8 in body a 10 in depth, with 9.70 in usable depth and a 45 x 33 in inner panel. Shipping weight is 180 lbs (81.65 kg).

The series is listed to UL 508A Type 12, 13 and CSA Type 12, 13, and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP54; appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. Disconnects, operating mechanisms and door hardware are not provided and must be ordered separately; with a 48.00 in H dimension this enclosure requires 3-point door closing hardware. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a literature pocket are included. The manufacturer notes this line will soon be discontinued as a stocked series and is available while quantities last.
