Hammond 1435SSO 12-Hole 30.5mm 304 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435SSO is a large multi-device control station from the 1435SS Series Type 4, 4X Stainless Steel Pushbutton Enclosures, punched with 12 holes sized for 30.5mm pushbuttons. It is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights, giving machine builders, panel shops, electricians and OEM engineers a ready-made housing for operator controls where the enclosure must provide protection from dirt, dust, oil and large amounts of water from any angle, or where highly corrosive conditions exist.

The body is formed 16 gauge stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams, and the 1435SSO is the 304 stainless steel version for 30.5mm devices. The natural stainless surface has a smooth brushed finish. The cover is secured with captive stainless steel cover screws that thread into sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket seals the joint. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure.

The enclosure measures 11.75 in (298 mm) high by 8.50 in (216 mm) wide by 3.00 in (76 mm) deep, listed as 11.75 in x 8.5 in x 3 in (298 mm x 216 mm x 76 mm). Shipping weight is 8 lbs (3.63 kg). As one of the larger sizes in the series, it has an internally hinged removable cover designed to hold the cover open during wiring.

Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Type 4 and 4X, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66; appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. The 1435SSO carries UL File E65324 and CSA certificate LR21001, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
