Hammond 1435SSA Single-Hole 30.5mm 304 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435SSA is a single-hole pushbutton enclosure for one 30.5mm operator, formed from 304 stainless steel in the 1435SS Series of Type 4, 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures. It is designed to accept a standard heavy duty oil tight pushbutton, switch or pilot light, and serves as a compact stand-alone station, such as a single stop, reset or status light, on equipment that is washed down or sits in highly corrosive conditions.

Construction is formed 16 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams, left in a natural stainless steel smooth brushed finish. The 1435SSA has a cover that is not hinged at this size. Captive stainless steel cover screws thread into sealed wells, an oil resistant gasket seals the cover, and a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure are provided.

The enclosure measures 3.50 in x 3.25 in x 2.75 in (89 mm x 83 mm x 70 mm). The drawing shows a 1.21 in diameter pushbutton hole, and welded mounting brackets with 0.25 in holes on 4.00 in x 2.38 in centres, for an overall height of 4.50 in.

The 1435SS Series is UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Type 4 and 4X listed (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, protecting against dirt, dust, oil and large amounts of water from any angle, or where highly corrosive conditions exist. Appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a box at 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
