Hammond 1435S16A Single-Hole 30.5mm 316 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435S16A is a single-hole pushbutton enclosure for one 30.5mm operator, made from 316 stainless steel in the 1435SS Series of Type 4, 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures. Built to accept a standard heavy duty oil tight pushbutton, switch or pilot light in the larger 30.5mm format, it is a compact choice for a single emergency stop, reset or indicator at equipment that is washed down or exposed to highly corrosive conditions.

Construction is formed 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams, left in a natural stainless steel smooth brushed finish. The 1435S16A has a cover that is not hinged at this size. Captive stainless steel cover screws thread into sealed wells, an oil resistant gasket seals the cover, and a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure are provided.

The enclosure measures 3.50 in x 3.25 in x 2.75 in (89 mm x 83 mm x 70 mm). The drawing shows a 1.21 in diameter pushbutton hole, and welded mounting brackets with 0.25 in holes on 4.00 in x 2.38 in centres, for an overall height of 4.50 in.

The 1435SS Series is UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Type 4 and 4X listed (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, protecting against dirt, dust, oil and large amounts of water from any angle, or where highly corrosive conditions exist. Appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a box at 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
