Hammond 1434-16 10 x 6 in Natural Aluminum Chassis Bottom Plate

The 1434-16 is a natural-finish aluminum bottom plate (Aluminum Chassis Cover 10 x 6) that closes the open underside of a Hammond 1444 Series aluminum chassis. It suits builders of tube, audio and classic or vintage-style equipment who want a finished base on a 10 x 6 in spot-welded aluminum chassis.

The 1444 Series ordering table assigns this one plate to 2 chassis that share the same 10.00 in (254 mm) by 6.00 in (152 mm) footprint: 1444-15 and 1444-16 (plus the walnut-side version 1444-16CWW). They differ only in height (1 and 2 in), and all use 0.04 in (1 mm) aluminum, so one part number covers any of them.

Bottom plates in this series are punched with 4 holes, 3/16" diameter, ready to fasten to the chassis. Hardware is not supplied with the plate: order part number 1421J6 separately, a package of six 6-32 Philips head screws. Note that the steel 1451 Series chassis covers are not compatible with the 1444 Series, so this aluminum plate is the matching base for these chassis.
