The 1427TBC is a 5 in metal bar handle with plastic end posts from the 1427 Metal Handles w/ Plastic Posts series, made for OEM engineers, panel builders and electronics enclosure users who need a durable pull or carrying handle. Its 5.00 in (127 mm) hole centers place it between the 4 in and 5.3 in sizes in a series that runs from 3 in to 7 in centers.

The handle uses a heavy duty extruded anodized aluminum bar held between rugged end posts made of Polyamid with 30% reinforced glass fiber and molded-in brass inserts, giving it a modern style. This version combines black end posts with a clear extruded aluminum bar, giving a two-tone contrast of bright metal against dark posts. The same size is also offered as 1427TBB and 1427TGC, since the series provides three colour versions for each size.
