The 1427SGC is a 4 in metal bar handle with plastic end posts from the 1427 Metal Handles w/ Plastic Posts series, made for OEM engineers, panel builders and electronics enclosure users who need a durable pull or carrying handle. It spans 4.00 in (102 mm) between mounting holes, the middle of the lower size range in the series, which runs from 3 in to 7 in centers.

The handle uses a heavy duty extruded anodized aluminum bar held between rugged end posts made of Polyamid with 30% reinforced glass fiber and molded-in brass inserts, giving it a modern style. This version pairs grey end posts with a clear extruded aluminum bar, a lighter two-tone combination that suits grey and light-coloured panels. The same size is also offered as 1427SBC and 1427SBB, since the series provides three colour versions for each size.
