The 1427D10 is the widest model in the 1427 general purpose small tilt bail series, spanning 10.00 in (254 mm) between mounting centers. Attached to a case, the bail works as a tilt stand and handle, a practical addition for designers of bench instruments and other small electronic equipment.
It is a chrome plated steel bail supplied with four black plastic feet and the mounting hardware needed to install it. The part drawing shows the bail assembled onto right and left front feet, plus back feet; the box shown in the exploded view is not included.
