The 1427C3AL is a compact 55 mm oval handle in heavy duty extruded aluminum with a clear anodized finish. Its short 2.16 in (55 mm) hole spacing makes it a fit for small instrument cases, compact enclosures and narrow front panels where a larger handle would not fit. Among the oval-profile handles in Hammond's 1427 & M series, it has the shortest hole spacing, and like the rest of the family it offers a clean, modern style.
Handle depth is 1.14 in (29 mm) and handle width is 0.63 in (16 mm). The drawing shows an overall length of 62.14 mm [2.446 in], a 47.86 mm [1.884 in] inside span between the legs and 21.86 mm [0.861 in] of clearance under the grip.
The legs are tapped 10-32 UNF-2B, 12.70 mm [0.500 in] deep. Supplied hardware consists of two panhead 10-32 x 1/2" screws and two internal tooth lockwashers for fastening through the panel. The handle is sold singly.
The 1427C3AL is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a bag with a shipping weight of 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg). A black anodized version with the same dimensions is sold as 1427C3BK.
