Hammond 1422P8 24x42x8 Type 12 Two-Door Wallmount Enclosure

The 1422P8 is a compact 24 in high member of the 1422 series of Type 12 two-door wallmount enclosures, measuring 24.00 in high, 42.00 in wide and 8.00 in deep (610 x 1067 x 203 mm). Designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments, it gives panel builders and maintenance teams a 42 in wide two-door front on a 8 in deep body.

The enclosure provides a degree of protection from falling dirt, dust, oil and water. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54 (UL file E65324, CSA certificate LR21001).

The body is formed 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A removable 12 gauge inner panel measuring 21.00 x 39.00 in (533 x 991 mm) is included, finished in white powder coating and mounted on collar studs.

Gasketed overlapping doors eliminate the need for a center post, and the continuously hinged doors can be removed by pulling the hinge pin. They are secured with a three point latch and key locking automotive type handle, with rollers on the latch rods and permanently secured oil resistant gaskets. Welded brackets provide for wall mounting. The part drawing shows a door opening of 39.21 x 21.21 in and 8.08 in of usable depth. Inside and out, the finish is recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating, and the 1422P8 ships in a box pack at 114 lbs (51.71 kg).
