The 1421N4BB50 is a Hammond Type 4 hardware kit containing 50 stainless steel 10-32 x 1" screws with matching sealing washers and nuts, plus one hex driver. It is for panel builders, electricians and maintenance teams who need to fasten devices or accessories through the wall of a Hammond enclosure without compromising its environmental rating.
When used as instructed, these kits maintain the UL/CSA Type rating of Hammond enclosures (3R, 12, 4 and 4X), which unapproved hardware will not. The bolt and sealing washer install from the outside of the enclosure and are fixed in place with an interior lock nut. The seal is achieved when the bolt is tightened until the exterior sealing washer is compressed and flattened.
The screws require a hex driver, which makes them virtually tamper proof; one driver is included in every kit. The series is offered in 8-32, 10-32 and 1/4-20 threads at various lengths, so this 10-32 x 1" kit covers longer 10-32 needs, and the 1421N4BA50 provides the 1/2" length.
