Hammond 1418ZXD24 72x60x24 Dual Access Type 12 Freestanding Enclosure

The 1418ZXD24 is a dual access (front and rear) version of the 1418 TD FS Type 12 two-door freestanding enclosure, sized 72.06 in high by 60.06 in wide by 24.06 in deep (1830 x 1526 x 611 mm). Doors on both the front and the rear give panel builders and maintenance teams access to equipment from either side, making it a fit for control lineups that must be wired or serviced from behind as well as in front.

The enclosure provides a degree of protection from falling dirt, dust, oil and water. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54 (UL file E65324, CSA certificate LR21001).

It is formed from 12 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. Each door hangs on a heavy gauge continuous hinge and is secured with a three point latch operated by a key locking automotive type handle; latch rods carry rollers for easier closing, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. A grounding stud is provided in the enclosure for each door, each door has a bonding stud, and two literature pockets are supplied on dual access units.

Mounting channels welded inside accept optional inner panels or rack equipment rails; the optional full height/full width panel for this size is 72ZXFW, with depth panels and half height/width panels also available. The part drawing shows a door opening of 57.31 in wide by 61.31 in high. Lifting eyes aid handling, there is provision for light kit mounting, and the phosphatized body is finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating. The 1418ZXD24 ships on a skid at 650 lbs (294.83 kg).
