The 1418QR is a set of two quick release clamps that speeds up access to conventional screw clamp type Hammond enclosures. Maintenance technicians and panel builders use it to replace the standard clamp screw so the cover can be opened quickly without backing out long screws each time.
The clamp installs on the enclosure's existing clamp bracket in place of the screw. It is specified for the Hammond 1418, 1418N4, 1447N4 and 1422N4 Series enclosures. The entire assembly is 304 stainless steel, and Hammond's assembly instructions for the 1418 quick release kit (bulletin BUL87421) call for a slot screwdriver for installation.
Dimensions shown on the manufacturer drawing are 1.22 in and 0.51 in in the front view and 1.73 in in the side view. The kit ships in a bag with a shipping weight of 1 lb (0.45 kg).
