Hammond 1418O12LP 42x30x12 in Type 4/12 Steel Wallmount Enclosure

The Hammond 1418O12LP is a Type 4/12 mild steel wallmount enclosure from the 1418LP Series, supplied less inner panel and measuring 42 in x 30 in x 12 in (1,067 mm x 762 mm x 305 mm). It is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, and suits panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who need a sealed, hose-down rated housing.

The body and door are formed 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on the door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door. The door swings on a stainless steel continuous hinge that can be removed by pulling the hinge pin, and is secured with easily operated stainless steel clamps with provision for padlocking. The cover and enclosure are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

Its 42 in tall by 30 in wide portrait format gives a door opening of 27.25 x 39.25 in and 39.05 in of height of clear space available on the door. With 12 in (305 mm) of usable depth, the 1418O12LP gives extra room front to back for deeper control components mounted on the optional inner panel. Collar studs are provided for the optional inner panel, 18P3927 (white) or 18G3927 (galvanized), which measures 39.00 in (991 mm) high x 27.00 in (686 mm) wide. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a literature pocket inside the door are included features.

Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, with 24.00 x 43.25 in mounting hole spacing and 0.44 in diameter holes per the part drawing. The enclosure carries UL 508A Type 3R, 12, 13 and 4 and cUL Type 3R, 12, 13 and 4 ratings under UL file E65324, complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 110 lbs (49.90 kg).
