Hammond 1418N4W18 72x25x18 in Clamped NEMA 4 Freestanding Enclosure

The 1418N4W18 is a Type 4 mild steel freestanding enclosure from the 1418 N4 FS Series, measuring 72.06 in x 25.06 in x 18.06 in (1,830 mm x 637 mm x 459 mm). It is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls, with provision for panel mounting or rack mounting of equipment, and protects equipment where it may be hosed down or otherwise be very wet. At 25.06 in wide and 18.06 in deep, the W18 is the narrowest and shallowest body in the 1418 N4 FS Series.

Construction is formed 12 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The door is supported on a heavy gauge continuous hinge and secured with heavy duty stainless steel clamps, sealing against a seamless poured-in-place gasket. Lifting eyes make the enclosure easier to handle, and there is provision for mounting a light kit.

Mounting channels are welded inside the enclosure to accept optional inner panels or rack equipment rails. The matching optional full height/full width panel is part number 72WFW; depth panels and half height/width panels are also available, as are swing out frames. Panels are offered in white powder coat or unpainted galvanized steel. The drawing shows a door opening width of 21.31 in on a 22.38 in wide door. A grounding stud is provided in the enclosure and a bonding stud on the door.

The cabinet is finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coat. The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA Cert. LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The 1418N4W18 is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships on a skid at 290 lbs (131.54 kg).
