Hammond 1418N4SSM10 36x30x10 In NEMA 4X 304 Stainless Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418N4SSM10 is a 304 stainless steel Type 4X wallmount enclosure measuring 36 x 30 x 10 in (914 x 762 x 254 mm). It pairs the 33 x 27 in panel area of the 36 x 30 in size with a 10 in body, and its part drawing shows 10.17 in of usable depth. Typical uses are instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring in areas that get hosed down, stay very wet or face serious corrosion.

The enclosure is formed from 14 gauge stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. Its door rides a stainless steel continuous hinge, removable by pulling the pin, and seals against a seamless poured-in place gasket under stainless steel clamps. Formed lips on the door and body exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and a padlocking provision is built in.

The included removable 12 gauge inner panel is 33 x 27 in (838 x 686 mm), mounted on collar studs and finished in white powder coating. The drawing lists a door opening of 27.21 in wide by 33.21 in high. Welded brackets provide for wall mounting; a bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a door literature pocket are provided.

For compliance, the series is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001 apply, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant.

Finish is natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed surface. The 1418N4SSM10 ships boxed at 125 lbs (56.70 kg); the 316 stainless version is 1418N4S16M10.
