Hammond 1418N4SSLL12 36x36x12 In Square Type 4X Stainless Wall Enclosure

The 1418N4SSLL12 is a square 36 x 36 x 12 in (914 x 914 x 305 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel. With a 33 x 33 in inner panel and 12.17 in of usable depth shown on its drawing, it gives a large, deep mounting area for control housings, instrument enclosures, junction boxes and terminal wiring in areas that are hosed down, very wet or corrosive.

It is formed from 14 gauge stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The part drawing shows a door stiffener, which the series adds to larger enclosures for extra rigidity. The door runs on a stainless steel continuous hinge with a removable pin and closes with stainless steel clamps onto a seamless poured-in place gasket; formed lips exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and padlocking is provided for.

The removable 12 gauge inner panel is 33 x 33 in (838 x 838 mm), white powder coated, on collar studs. The drawing gives a door opening of about 33.20 in square. Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, and the enclosure includes a bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the body and a door literature pocket.

The 1418 N4 SS series is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. This part carries UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.

Finish is natural brushed stainless steel. The 1418N4SSLL12 ships boxed at 136 lbs (61.69 kg). The 316 stainless steel version is 1418N4S16LL12.
