Hammond 1418N4SSB6 16x12x6 In 304 Stainless Type 4X Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418N4SSB6 is the smallest footprint in the 1418 N4 SS Series: a 16 in H x 12 in W x 6 in D (406 x 305 x 152 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure in formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel. It is a practical choice for electrical junction boxes, terminal wiring, small instrument enclosures and compact control housings that must survive hose-down cleaning, heavy wetting or corrosive conditions.

Despite its size it carries the full series construction: smooth, continuously welded seams without knockouts, cutouts or holes; a formed lip on door and body to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants; a seamless poured-in-place gasket; and a stainless steel continuous hinge that can be removed by pulling the pin. Stainless steel clamps secure the door, and there is provision for padlocking.

A removable 12 gauge inner panel measuring 13.00 in x 9.00 in (330 x 229 mm) is included, finished in white powder coat and mounted on collar studs. The drawing shows a 9.21 in x 13.21 in door opening and 6.17 in of usable depth. A bonding stud on the door, grounding stud inside and a door literature pocket are provided.

Welded brackets mount the enclosure to the wall, with 0.44 in holes on 9.50 in x 17.25 in spacing per the drawing. The series is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The 1418N4SSB6 ships at 28 lbs (12.70 kg).
