Hammond 1418MR8LP 30x36x8 in NEMA 4/12 Clamped-Door Wallmount Enclosure

For control and wiring projects that need protection from hose-down or outdoor weather, the 1418MR8LP is a 1418LP Series Type 4/12 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 30 in x 36 in x 8 in (762 mm x 914 mm x 203 mm). It serves as an instrument enclosure, an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, an electrical junction box or a terminal wiring enclosure, and is sold less inner panel.

The body and door are formed 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on the door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door. The door swings on a stainless steel continuous hinge that can be removed by pulling the hinge pin, and is secured with easily operated stainless steel clamps with provision for padlocking. The cover and enclosure are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

Its landscape format, 36 in wide by 30 in tall, gives a door opening of 33.25 x 27.25 in and 33.00 x 27.05 in of clear space available on the door. A 8 in (203 mm) usable depth leaves room for DIN-rail components, terminal blocks and control devices on the optional inner panel. Collar studs are provided for the optional inner panel, 18P3327 (white) or 18G3327 (galvanized), which measures 27.00 in (686 mm) high x 33.00 in (838 mm) wide. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a literature pocket inside the door are included features.

Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, with 30.00 x 31.25 in mounting hole spacing and 0.44 in diameter holes per the part drawing. The enclosure carries UL 508A Type 3R, 12, 13 and 4 and cUL Type 3R, 12, 13 and 4 ratings under UL file E65324, complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 90 lbs (40.82 kg).
