Hammond 1418KR8LP 24x30x8 in Type 4/12 Wallmount Enclosure, Less Panel

Hammond part 1418KR8LP is a 24 x 30 x 8 in (610 x 762 x 203 mm) wallmount enclosure in the 1418LP Series of Type 4/12 mild steel enclosures, shipped less inner panel. Control panel builders and OEM engineers use it for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring.

The body and door are formed 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on the door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door. The door swings on a stainless steel continuous hinge that can be removed by pulling the hinge pin, and is secured with easily operated stainless steel clamps with provision for padlocking. The cover and enclosure are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

Its landscape format, 30 in wide by 24 in tall, gives a door opening of 27.25 x 21.25 in and 27.00 x 21.05 in of clear space available on the door. A 8 in (203 mm) usable depth leaves room for DIN-rail components, terminal blocks and control devices on the optional inner panel. Collar studs are provided for the optional inner panel, 18P2721 (white) or 18G2721 (galvanized), which measures 21.00 in (533 mm) high x 27.00 in (686 mm) wide. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a literature pocket inside the door are included features.

Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, with 24.00 x 25.25 in mounting hole spacing and 0.44 in diameter holes per the part drawing. The enclosure carries UL 508A Type 3R, 12, 13 and 4 and cUL Type 3R, 12, 13 and 4 ratings under UL file E65324, complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 63 lbs (28.58 kg).
