Hammond 1418K8LP 30x24x8 In Type 4/12 Wallmount Enclosure, Less Panel

The 1418K8LP is a Type 4/12 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 30 x 24 x 8 in (762 x 610 x 203 mm), supplied less panel with a continuous hinge door secured by clamps. It is designed for use as an instrument enclosure, an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, an electrical junction box or a terminal wiring enclosure, and it protects equipment that may be hosed down or be very wet, or that sits outdoors and needs full weather protection.

Its 30 in tall by 24 in wide face and a 8 in (203 mm) depth give a door opening of 27.25 x 21.25 in (H x W) and 8.00 in of usable depth. The door itself measures 22.19 x 28.21 in (W x H), with a 21.00 x 27.05 in clear area available on the door. Shipping weight is 58 lbs (26.31 kg).

Bodies and doors are formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on both door and body excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door. The stainless steel continuous hinge can be removed by pulling its stainless hinge pin, and easily operated stainless steel clamps close the door, with provision for padlocking. Cover and enclosure are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

Welded brackets with 0.44 in holes provide for wall mounting, collar studs accept an optional inner panel, and a grounding stud in the enclosure plus a bonding stud on the door serve bonding and grounding. The inner panel is sold separately: specify 18P2721 (white) or 18G2721 (galvanized), each 27 x 21 in (686 x 533 mm). A literature pocket is provided inside the door. The 1418K8LP carries UL 508A and cUL Type 3R, 12, 13 and 4 listings (UL file E65324), complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
