Hammond 1418K12LP 30x24x12 Inch Deep Type 4/12 Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418K12LP is a Type 4/12 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 30 x 24 x 12 in (762 x 610 x 305 mm), supplied less panel with a continuous hinge door secured by clamps. It is designed for use as an instrument enclosure, an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, an electrical junction box or a terminal wiring enclosure, and it protects equipment that may be hosed down or be very wet, or that sits outdoors and needs full weather protection.

Its 30 in tall by 24 in wide face and a generous 12 in (305 mm) depth give a door opening of 27.25 x 21.25 in (H x W) and 12.00 in of usable depth. The door itself measures 22.19 x 28.21 in (W x H), with a 21.00 x 27.05 in clear area available on the door. Shipping weight is 70 lbs (31.75 kg).

Construction is formed 14 gauge steel for both body and door, joined with smooth, continuously welded seams and left free of knockouts, cutouts or holes. The door hangs on a stainless steel continuous hinge (removable by pulling the stainless hinge pin), closes with stainless steel clamps, seals on a seamless poured-in-place gasket and offers provision for padlocking. The finish is a recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coat on cover and enclosure.

Welded brackets with 0.44 in holes provide for wall mounting, collar studs accept an optional inner panel, and a grounding stud in the enclosure plus a bonding stud on the door serve bonding and grounding. The inner panel is sold separately: specify 18P2721 (white) or 18G2721 (galvanized), each 27 x 21 in (686 x 533 mm). A literature pocket is provided inside the door. The 1418K12LP carries UL 508A and cUL Type 3R, 12, 13 and 4 listings (UL file E65324), complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
