Hammond 1418K12 30x24x12 In NEMA 12 Wallmount Enclosure With Panel

The 1418K12 is a Type 12 mild steel wallmount enclosure from the 1418 Series, measuring 30 x 24 x 12 in (762 mm x 610 mm x 305 mm) H x W x D. It is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments, and provides a degree of protection from falling dirt, dust, oil and water. The 12 in depth gives 12.01 in of usable depth on a 30 x 24 in face, the middle of the seven depths offered for this footprint.

The body and door are formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on the door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and permanently secured, oil resistant gaskets seal the opening. The continuously hinged door is held closed by easily operated stainless steel clamps, includes provision for padlocking, and can be removed by pulling the hinge pin.

Inside, a removable 12 gauge inner panel measuring 27 x 21 in (H x W) mounts on collar studs and is finished in white powder coating. The drawing for the 1418K12 shows a door opening of 21.20 in wide by 27.20 in high and 12.01 in of usable depth. A bonding stud is provided on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure, and a literature pocket on the inside of the door. The enclosure and cover are finished inside and out in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, with 0.44 in diameter mounting holes shown on the drawing. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 12 and 13 (UL File E65324) and CSA Type 12 and 13 (CSA Cert. LR21001), and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP54. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships boxed at 90 lbs (40.82 kg). Note that the 1418 Series is being discontinued and replaced by the 1418LP Series, so availability is limited to inventory on hand.
