Hammond 1418JJ11 24x24x11 Extra Deep Type 12 Wallmount Enclosure

The Hammond 1418JJ11 is a NEMA Type 12 mild steel wallmount enclosure (large JIC style) from the 1418J Series that is the deepest 24 x 24 in option at 11 in, for components that need more depth than the 7 in or 9 in versions provide. It is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments, and is aimed at control panel shops, OEM machine builders and maintenance electricians.

The enclosure measures 24 in x 24 in x 11 in (610 mm x 610 mm x 279 mm) (H x W x D) and includes a removable 12 gauge inner panel of 21 x 21 in (533 mm x 533 mm), finished in white powder coating. With 10.06 in usable depth on the drawing, it offers the most depth of the three 24 x 24 models. The drawing shows a door opening 23.86 in wide by 23.00 in high and a usable depth of 10.06 in. Shipping weight is 66.6 lbs (30.21 kg), packed in a box.

The body is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The continuously hinged cover is secured with plated screws threaded into sealed wells, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. Collar studs are provided for mounting the inner panel, a bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure, and a literature pocket sits on the inside of the door. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray recoatable powder coating.

Welded brackets provide for wall mounting of the 1418JJ11. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 12 (UL File E65324) and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529, IP54, providing a degree of protection from falling dirt, dust, oil and water.
