Hammond 1418E6LP 24x20x6 In Steel Type 4/12 Wallmount Enclosure

Part number 1418E6LP is a 24 x 20 x 6 in (610 x 508 x 152 mm) wallmount enclosure from the 1418LP series: formed mild steel, rated Type 4/12, and shipped without an inner panel. It is designed for use as an instrument enclosure, as an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, or as a junction box or terminal wiring enclosure where equipment may be hosed down, get very wet, or need full weather protection outdoors.

Its 24 in tall by 20 in wide face and a 6 in (152 mm) depth give a door opening of 21.25 x 17.25 in (H x W) and 6.00 in of usable depth. The door itself measures 18.19 x 22.21 in (W x H), with a 17.00 x 21.05 in clear area available on the door. Shipping weight is 46 lbs (20.87 kg).

Construction is formed 14 gauge steel for both body and door, joined with smooth, continuously welded seams and left free of knockouts, cutouts or holes. The door hangs on a stainless steel continuous hinge (removable by pulling the stainless hinge pin), closes with stainless steel clamps, seals on a seamless poured-in-place gasket and offers provision for padlocking. The finish is a recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coat on cover and enclosure.

Welded brackets with 0.44 in holes provide for wall mounting, collar studs accept an optional inner panel, and a grounding stud in the enclosure plus a bonding stud on the door serve bonding and grounding. The inner panel is sold separately: specify 18P2117 (white) or 18G2117 (galvanized), each 21 x 17 in (533 x 432 mm). A literature pocket is provided inside the door.
