Hammond 1418CA6LP 20x12x6 In NEMA 4/12 Wallmount Enclosure, Less Panel

The 1418CA6LP is a 20 x 12 x 6 in portrait wallmount enclosure from the 1418LP series, rated NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and supplied less inner panel. It is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, where equipment may be hosed down, very wet, or installed outdoors.

Body and door are formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on the door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the opening. The door rides on a stainless steel continuous hinge and can be removed by pulling the stainless steel hinge pin.

Stainless steel clamps secure the door, and there is provision for padlocking. Inside, collar studs accept an optional inner panel measuring 17 x 9 in (432 x 229 mm): order 18P1709 for white or 18G1709 for galvanized. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a literature pocket inside the door are provided, and the cover and body are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The manufacturer drawing shows a 9.25 x 17.22 in (W x H) opening with the door removed, 6.00 in of usable depth and an overall depth of 7.21 in including the door. The 1418CA6LP is a narrow 20 x 12 in portrait enclosure at 6 in deep, for vertical wiring runs or tight wall spaces.

Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, with 0.44 in holes on a 9.50 x 21.25 in pattern and an overall height of 22.25 in including brackets. The 1418CA6LP complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, is listed under UL File E65324, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and has a shipping weight of 25 lbs (11.34 kg).
