Hammond 1418C6LP 20x16x6 In NEMA 4/12 Wallmount Enclosure, Less Panel

Part 1418C6LP is a Type 4/12 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 20 x 16 x 6 in (508 x 406 x 152 mm), with a portrait format. Use it as an instrument enclosure, a control housing for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment, or an electrical junction or terminal wiring box in locations that may be hosed down or exposed outdoors.

Hammond forms the body and door from 14 gauge steel and continuously welds the seams, leaving a smooth enclosure without knockouts, cutouts or holes. Sealing relies on a seamless poured-in-place gasket and a formed lip on the door and enclosure that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. The door hangs on a stainless steel continuous hinge with a removable pin.

Stainless steel clamps secure the door, and there is provision for padlocking. Inside, collar studs accept an optional inner panel measuring 17 x 13 in (432 x 330 mm): order 18P1713 for white or 18G1713 for galvanized. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a literature pocket inside the door are provided, and the cover and body are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The manufacturer drawing shows a 13.22 x 17.22 in (W x H) opening with the door removed, 6.00 in of usable depth and an overall depth of 7.21 in including the door. The 1418C6LP is a 20 x 16 x 6 in portrait enclosure, a common size for small control stations and instrument housings where a shallow profile is preferred.
