Hammond 1418BW20 90x48x20 Type 12 Two-Door Freestanding Enclosure

The 1418BW20 is a single access, front-opening Type 12 two-door freestanding enclosure from the 1418 TD FS series, measuring 90.06 in high, 48.06 in wide and 20.06 in deep (2288 x 1221 x 510 mm). At 90 in tall it is the tallest height offered in the series, and the 20 in nominal depth is a 20 in depth offered only on the 90 in tall models. It is built to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls, with provision for panel mounting or rack mounting of equipment.

The enclosure provides a degree of protection from falling dirt, dust, oil and water. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54 (UL file E65324, CSA certificate LR21001).

Construction is formed 12 gauge steel with a 10 gauge back, plus rear stiffeners for rigidity, and smooth, continuously welded seams without knockouts, cutouts or holes. The heavy gauge continuously hinged doors are secured with a three point latch and a key locking automotive type handle, with rollers on the latch rods and permanently secured oil resistant gaskets. A literature pocket mounts inside the door, and grounding and bonding studs are provided for each door.

Mounting channels welded inside accept optional inner panels or rack equipment rails; the optional full height/full width panel for this size is 90BWFW, with depth panels and half height/width panels also available. The part drawing shows a door opening of 45.31 in wide by 78.66 in high. Lifting eyes aid handling, there is provision for light kit mounting, and the phosphatized body is finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating. The 1418BW20 ships on a skid at 584 lbs (264.90 kg).
