The 1416O is a Type 1 mild steel component case with a ventilated cover held by screws, measuring 15 in x 10 in x 8 in (381 mm x 254 mm x 203 mm) H x W x D. It is designed to provide mechanical protection for components requiring ventilation and is suitable where heat dissipation is required, making it a fit for electricians, OEM engineers and panel builders housing heat-producing devices indoors.
It is the first case in the series with a 10 in width, and at 15 in high it is the shortest of the three 10 in wide models.
The base is formed from 16 gauge steel with two 0.5"/0.75" conduit knockouts located in each end, and four .125" high raised dimples with mounting holes are provided on the base. The cover is formed from 18 gauge steel with 0.235" x 1.5" ventilating slots. Screw holes and offsets in the cover allow easy assembly.
Base and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. The 1416O complies with NEMA Type 1, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships in a box at 10 lbs (4.54 kg).
