Hammond 1414SCO10 16x14x10" Screw Cover Junction Box with Panel

The 1414SCO10 is a Type 12 mild steel junction box from the 1414 SC Series, sized 16 x 14 x 10 in (406 mm x 356 mm x 254 mm). It uses a lift-off cover secured with captive, plated steel screws threaded into sealed wells, and is taller than it is wide. It is designed for use as an instrument enclosure, an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, an electrical junction box or a terminal wiring enclosure, providing a degree of protection from falling dirt, dust, oil and water.

As a 16 x 14 size, the 1414SCO10 body is formed from 14 gauge steel, the heavier gauge the series reserves for this size, and the cover is formed from 16 gauge steel. Seams are smooth and continuously welded without knockouts, cutouts or holes. Oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured, and the cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray recoatable powder coating. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure.

A removable 14 gauge inner panel is included, measuring 14.75 in (375 mm) high by 12.87 in (327 mm) wide, finished in white powder coating and mounted on internal threaded weld studs. The drawing shows a cover opening of 15.30 in x 13.30 in (H x W), with clear space available on the cover of 14.56 in x 12.56 in (H x W). The same 16 x 14 in face size is also listed in the series as 1414SCO6 (6 in deep).

Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting, with 0.31 in diameter mounting holes shown on the drawing. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 12 and 13 (UL File E65324) and CSA Type 12 and 13 (Cert. LR21001), and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54. The 1414SCO10 is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships in a box at 29 lbs (13.15 kg).
