Hammond 1414SCI 10x8x4" Screw Cover Junction Box with Panel

The 1414SCI is a Type 12 mild steel junction box from the 1414 SC Series, sized 10 x 8 x 4 in (254 mm x 203 mm x 102 mm). It uses a lift-off cover secured with captive, plated steel screws threaded into sealed wells, and is taller than it is wide. It is designed for use as an instrument enclosure, an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, an electrical junction box or a terminal wiring enclosure, providing a degree of protection from falling dirt, dust, oil and water.

The 1414SCI body is formed from 16 gauge steel (the series uses 14 gauge only for the 16 x 14 size), and the cover is formed from 16 gauge steel. Seams are smooth and continuously welded without knockouts, cutouts or holes. Oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured, and the cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray recoatable powder coating. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure.

A removable 14 gauge inner panel is included, measuring 8.75 in (222 mm) high by 6.87 in (174 mm) wide, finished in white powder coating and mounted on internal threaded weld studs. The drawing shows a cover opening of 9.30 in x 7.30 in (H x W) and 3.51 in of usable depth, with clear space available on the cover of 8.56 in x 6.56 in (H x W).

Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting, with 0.31 in diameter mounting holes shown on the drawing. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 12 and 13 (UL File E65324) and CSA Type 12 and 13 (Cert. LR21001), and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54. The 1414SCI is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships in a box at 10 lbs (4.54 kg).
