Hammond 1414O10 16x14x10 Type 12 Steel Junction Box, Lift-Off Cover

The 1414O10 is the largest and deepest box in the 1414 Series at 16 x 14 x 10 in (406 x 356 x 254 mm). This Type 12 mild steel junction box with a clamped lift-off cover gives room for deep components such as transformers, power supplies or bulky terminal assemblies.

The body is formed from 16 or 14 gauge mild steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The 14 gauge lift-off cover is secured with stainless steel clamps and plated steel screws, sealed by a seamless poured-in place gasket, and retained with a plated chain when open so it stays with the box during service. Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting.

It includes a removable 14 gauge inner panel of 14.75 x 12.88 in (375 x 327 mm), and the drawing shows 9.35 in of usable depth behind a 13.30 x 15.30 in door opening. The panel mounts on internal threaded weld studs. Additional inner panels, a swing panel kit, terminal kit assemblies and door clamping hardware are listed as accessories.

The 1414 Series is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 12 and 13 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54, giving a degree of protection from falling dirt, dust, oil and water. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray recoatable powder coating, a bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure, and the part is REACH and RoHS compliant. Shipping weight is 25 lbs (11.34 kg).
