Hammond 1414N4PHM6 14x12x6 in Type 4 Hinged Junction Box with Panel

The 1414N4PHM6 is a 14 x 12 x 6 in (356 x 305 x 152 mm) Type 4 mild steel junction box from the 1414 N4 PH Series, built with a stainless steel continuous hinge door secured by stainless steel clamps and screws. It serves as an instrument enclosure, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, junction box or terminal wiring enclosure where equipment may be hosed down or very wet, or outdoors for full weather protection.

The 1414N4PHM6 is the 6 in deep 14 x 12 in size, with a 12.75 in x 10.88 in inner panel and 5.35 in of usable depth. An 8 in deep version is listed as the 1414N4PHM8.

The body is formed from 16 or 14 gauge steel and the cover from 14 gauge steel, with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A seamless poured-in place gasket seals the cover. The continuous hinge can be removed by pulling the stainless steel hinge pin. A removable 14 gauge inner panel mounts on internal threaded weld studs and is finished in white powder coating. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

Per the drawing, the 1414N4PHM6 has a door opening of 11.30 in wide x 13.30 in high, 5.35 in of usable depth, and 13.10 in x 11.10 in of clear space available on the door. Welded brackets with 0.31 in mounting holes provide for enclosure mounting, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud on the body simplify grounding. Shipping weight is 21 lbs (9.53 kg).
