Hammond 1412Y 16x8x3 Inch 20 Gauge Grey Steel Utility Case

The 1412Y is the largest steel case in the 1411-1412 utility enclosure family, measuring 16 in x 8 in x 3 in (406 mm x 203 mm x 76 mm) in ASA 61 grey. It gives integrators and OEM builders a long, roomy steel housing for full-length control boards, wiring or multi-module assemblies.

Construction is 20 gauge steel: the bottom and cover are formed from 0.036 in (0.91 mm) steel, and the part is listed as steel with aluminum end panels. The steel is finished in ASA 61 grey baked powder paint applied inside and out to prevent rust. Each purchased assembly includes the bottom, the cover and four cover screws, and replacement 6-32 x 1/4 in plated self-tapping screws are available as 1421J6 in packs of six.

The manufacturer drawing lists outside dimensions of 406.40 mm [16.00 in] x 203.20 mm [8.00 in] x 76.20 mm [3.00 in]. Inside, the box offers 404.57 mm [15.93 in] of length, 198.76 mm [7.83 in] of width and 74.37 mm [2.93 in] of height.

The 1412Y ships shrink wrapped at 4.11 lbs (1.86 kg).
