The 1411TTU is a 10 x 6 x 2 in (254 x 152 x 51 mm) utility case from the 1411 series, supplied in unpainted, natural aluminum. It is aimed at electronics hobbyists, OEM engineers and technicians who want a plain metal housing they can drill, mill, paint or label to suit their own project.
The case is a two-piece assembly made up of a bottom and a cover, both formed from 0.04" (1.02 mm) aluminum panels, and it ships with four self-tapping cover screws. Because the aluminum is left unfinished, it is protected through manufacturing and shipping by a plastic film cover that keeps the surface clean and also doubles as a removable drilling template for marking out holes.
