Hammond 1411FBXBK 12×7×4 in Black Flanged Aluminum Utility Case

The 1411FBXBK is a flanged utility case from the 1411 aluminum series, finished in smooth black powder coat (Hammond color BK2). Its bottom carries wall-mounting flanges, so it suits integrators, OEM engineers and facilities teams who need a compact metal housing that fastens directly to a wall or panel. The nominal size is 12 x 7 x 4 in (305 x 178 x 102 mm).

Construction is two pieces: a flanged bottom and a cover, both made from 0.04" (1.02 mm) aluminum panels. Each purchased assembly includes the flanged bottom, the cover and four self-tapping cover screws. Replacement cover screws are available as 1421J6, a package of six 6-32 x 1/4" plated self-tapping screws, and 1421J6BK supplies the same screws in black.

According to the drawing, the assembled box measures 304.44 mm [11.99 in] long, 177.44 mm [6.99 in] wide and 103.20 mm [4.06 in] high, with an overall length of 333.38 mm [13.13 in] across the flanges. Usable inside space is 302.41 mm [11.91 in] long by 172.59 mm [6.80 in] wide by 101.17 mm [3.98 in] high. Shipping weight is 1.25 lbs (0.57 kg).

The black powder coat gives a finished look straight out of the box. If you need cut-outs or markings, the enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing), and solid models are available in STEP or IGES for layout work.
