- 5K to 5K ohm interstage with 178 ohms DCR per winding
- Rated for 30 mA DC bias on a gapped core; 44 H inductance
- Driver use only in single ended tube output amplifiers
- Bifilar wound; minimum 20 Hz - 20 kHz (+/- 1 dB)
- 400 VDC max working voltage, 1,000 VDC hi-pot test
- Closed style with minimum 8" leads, 29M6 laminations
- RoHS and REACH compliant
The 126B is a 5K to 5K ohm tube driver interstage transformer intended for driver use only in single ended tube output amplifiers. It replaces the coupling capacitor circuit between stages for improved sound, and is the higher-current choice among the 5K models in the 126 Series for builders whose driver tube runs more plate current.
Its gapped core supports a rated DC bias current of 30 mA, twice that of the 126A, with an inductance of 44 henries. Primary and secondary are both 5K ohms, each with 178 ohms DC resistance, and the unit carries a 4 audio watt rating. Bifilar wound windings are used for coupling and bandwidth, and the minimum frequency response is 20 Hz - 20 kHz (+/- 1 dB max, ref. 1 kHz).
The core uses hi grade 29M6 silicon laminations. The 126B has a maximum working voltage of 400 VDC and is hi-pot tested at 1,000 VDC.
It is closed style with leads at least 8 inches long. Dimensions are A 2.50 in (64 mm), B 3.12 in (79 mm), C 3.12 in (79 mm), D 2.00 in (51 mm) and E 2.25 in (57 mm), with 0.20 in (5 mm) x 0.38 in (10 mm) mounting slots. The series gives a unit weight of 3 lbs. 2 oz.; the listed shipping weight is 1.2 lbs (0.54 kg). The 126B is RoHS and REACH compliant.
