The 1140-LU-GPC is a 600:600, 1:1 printed circuit board mount line output transformer from the 1140-PC Series, and the highest-level bi-filar part in the range: its drawing states it can drive 600 Ω loads up to +27 dBu at 20 Hz.
It is built with bi-filar windings on an 80% nickel core, which the manufacturer says gives very low distortion levels and good output levels. Because of the core's properties, the drive signal should have no DC component and the source impedance should be as low as possible. The drawing includes a PCB layout for the footprint.
Typical performance: frequency response -0.02 dB at 20 Hz and +0.02 dB at 20 kHz; THD 0.01% at 1 kHz and 0.001% at 20 Hz (4 dBu); common mode rejection 105 dB at 60 Hz and 75 dB at 3 kHz; phase shift 0.10° at 20 Hz and -1.0° at 20 kHz.
DC resistance is 40 Ω on each winding at 20°C, primary input impedance 680 Ω and secondary output impedance 80 Ω at 1 kHz. Capacitance is 25 nF primary to shield and case and 80 pF secondary to shield and case, with 250 Vrms dielectric strength. Connect the primary to PIN 2–PIN 4 and the secondary to PIN 11–PIN 8. The 1140-LU-GPC ships at 0.2 lbs (0.09 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
