Hammond 11130PSLA 125x125x79 mm Square Diecast Aluminium Enclosure

The 11130PSLA is the square member of the Eddystone die-cast family: a 125 mm x 125 mm footprint with a 79 mm overall height (4.92 in x 4.92 in x 3.11 in). It is the only square size in the series, and its 75 mm total depth suits instrument builders who need room for a board, wiring and panel hardware in a compact housing.

Box and lid are die-cast from aluminium alloy to BS1490, LM2M, supplied in a natural finish. The material is tough yet easy to machine, so cut-outs and holes can be added to suit the design. A lap joint between lid and box provides protection against dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.

The ordering table lists a length and width of 4.92 in (125 mm), a total depth of 2.95 in (75 mm) and a 0.16 in (4 mm) lid height. The drawing dimensions it at 125.50 mm [4.94 in] square and 76.20 mm [3.00 in] high. Shipping weight is 0.95 lbs (0.43 kg).

The purchased assembly includes the lid, the box and 4 cover screws. The lid is retained by M3.5 x 12 countersunk screws with a POZIDRIV No. 2 head into countersunk lid holes, with a recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. Side walls have a low draft angle of 2° or less for easy PC board mounting. Replacement cover screws are available as SCR0230-100 (package of 100).

This is an Eddystone design; the Eddystone brand was, purchased by Hammond in 1998. The factory can modify 11130PSLA by milling, drilling or printing, and solid models are available in .stp or .x_t formats. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
