The 109T is a miniature epoxy potted audio transformer from the 2 W-rated 109 Series, built for printed circuit board mounting. It has a 10K ohm center-tapped primary and a 10K ohm center-tapped secondary, an equal-impedance arrangement for isolating high-impedance audio circuits. Designers of audio input, line matching, isolation and output stages will find it a compact, board-level way to add transformer coupling.
Nominal impedances are 10K ohm CT on the primary (pins 1-3) and 10K ohm CT on the secondary (pins 4-6). D.C. resistance is 700 ohms on the primary and 1000 ohms on the secondary (+/- 20%), and the maximum D.C. unbalance is 1.5 mA. Those values make the 109T the highest-impedance secondary option in the 109 Series ordering table.
Like the rest of the series, it carries a 2 watt (+/- 1.5 db, 300Hz. - 50 KHz.) rating. Power level ratings are maximum at the lowest frequency rating, and power can be increased slightly at higher frequencies.
The transformer is epoxy potted in a black molded case with pin type P.C. board terminals of at least 0.187" length. It will withstand soldering for 10 seconds at 260 °C and is rated for an ambient temperature of 85 °C maximum. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 0.1 lbs (0.05 kg).
