Hammond 107X 100K:1K Ohm Center-Tapped Miniature Audio Transformer

The 107X has the highest primary impedance in the 107 Series: a 100K ohm centre-tapped primary (pins 1-3) coupled to a 1K ohm centre-tapped secondary (pins 4-6) at a 10:1 turns ratio. It is suited to coupling a very high-impedance source into a 1000 ohm circuit, within the input, line matching and isolation roles the series covers.

Power level is 150mw from 150 Hz. to 50 Khz., and the series notes that this is the one model whose power cannot be increased at higher frequencies. Frequency range is 150 Hz. to 80 Khz. +/- 1.5db at +0, +10 and +20 dbm (no D.C. saturation), with a frequency response of ±1.5db from 300Hz to 50KHz. Typical DCR is 3.66K ohms primary (2.15K/1.51K) and 75 ohms secondary (37.5/37.5); the table lists 3700 and 80 ohms (+/- 20%). Inductance is 56.7 Hy primary and 0.83 Hy secondary, and impedance 300 K and 3.90 K ohms at 1.0 kHz, 1.0 V. Its maximum D.C. unbalance is 0 mA, and its dielectric strength is 500 Vrms, higher than the 100 Vrms of other models in the series.

Every 107 Series unit is epoxy potted in an attractive black molded case, and the rugged potting produces a completely sealed part that withstands severe environmental conditions. It will withstand soldering for 10 sec. at 260 degrees C, with a maximum ambient temperature of 85 degrees C; the casting epoxy has a workable range of -40°C to +105°C under a normal rate of change, not including thermal shock. The drawing notes the windings may be used either way round.

It mounts on a PC board with pin-type terminals of min. 0.187" length and is RoHS and REACH compliant, with a shipping weight of 0.02 lbs (0.01 kg).
