Hammond 107J 1K:600 Ohm Center-Tapped Miniature Audio Transformer

The 107J is a 107 Series miniature audio transformer with a 1K ohm centre-tapped primary (pins 1-3) and a 600 ohm centre-tapped secondary (pins 4-6), giving a 1.29:1 turns ratio. It suits audio input, line matching, isolation and output work where a 1000 ohm source needs to meet a 600 ohm line on a PC board.

Power level is 150mw from 150 Hz. to 50 Khz. Frequency range is 50 Hz. to 80 Khz. at +0 dbm, 100 Hz. to 80 Khz. at +10 dbm and 150 Hz. to 80 Khz. at +20 dbm, each +/- 1.5db with no D.C. saturation; the frequency response is ±1.5db from 300Hz to 50KHz. Typical DCR is 92 ohms primary (52/40 ohms) and 70 ohms secondary (35/35 ohms); table values are 92 and 71 ohms (+/- 20%). Inductance at 1.0 kHz, 1.0 V is 0.994 Hy primary and 0.625 Hy secondary, leakage 310 mH, and impedance 5.16 K and 3.20 K ohms. Maximum D.C. unbalance is 4.5 mA; dielectric strength is 100 Vrms.

Every 107 Series unit is epoxy potted in an attractive black molded case, and the rugged potting produces a completely sealed part that withstands severe environmental conditions. It will withstand soldering for 10 sec. at 260 degrees C, with a maximum ambient temperature of 85 degrees C; the casting epoxy has a workable range of -40°C to +105°C under a normal rate of change, not including thermal shock. The drawing states that primary and secondary are interchangeable.

It mounts on a PC board with pin-type terminals of min. 0.187" length and is RoHS and REACH compliant, with a shipping weight of 0.02 lbs (0.01 kg).
