Hammond 10758PSLA 145x95mm Natural Diecast Aluminum Enclosure, IP54

The 10758PSLA is the Eddystone 10758 diecast aluminium enclosure, a compact 145 x 95 mm instrument box supplied in natural finish. It is intended for designers and builders of small electronic instruments who want a rugged metal case that is tough yet easy to machine.

The enclosure is cast from aluminium alloy to BS1490, LM2M. Lap joint construction between box and lid protects against access of dust and splashing water, and the design is intended to meet IP54. The lid is retained by four M3.5 x 12 countersunk screws with POZIDRIV No. 2 heads, set in countersunk lid holes, with a recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in].

The part page lists the size as 5.71 in x 3.74 in x 1.93 in (145 mm x 95 mm x 49 mm). In the series table the box is 145 mm long, 95 mm wide and 45 mm in total depth, with a 4 mm lid height, and the drawing shows overall dimensions of 145.50 x 95.40 x 49.30 mm. Side walls have a low draft angle of 2 degrees or less, which makes PC board mounting easier. Shipping weight is 0.7 lbs (0.32 kg).

The purchased assembly includes the lid, box and 4 cover screws; spare Pozidriv cover screws are available as SCR0230-100 (pack of 100). The enclosure is RoHS and REACH compliant, can be factory modified, and has solid models available in .stp or .x_t. The Eddystone brand was purchased by Hammond in 1998.
